Currently loaded in the front of my Kindle is Marshall Taylor’s Infiltration: The Plot to Destroy the Church from within, a rather lengthy description of how the current crisis in the Catholic Church came to be. When I finish reading this book, I’ll follow it immediately with Bishop Athanasius Schneider’s Christus Vincit: Christ’s Triumph Over the Darkness of the Age, which I have in paperback format. The good Bishop’s book explains how best to survive that current crisis.
I’m just trying to keep up with current events, you understand.
Sitting here in the recliner, listening to recent podcasts as the washer and dryer process my week’s laundry, I’m happy about how this day is developing and rather excited about the week ahead.
The weather is about as perfect as it could be. Sunny skies, a light breeze, temperature moving up slowly through the 70s: what more could an old boy ask for? The little bit of trimming I did to the front yard earlier went well. And after the laundry is done I may walk over to Stanley’s Icehouse and treat myself to some ice cream. I’ve been a good boy lately and a little treat is certainly in order. 🙂
Busy days are coming on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. But I have nothing special planned for Tuesday or Friday, so there should be ample time to rest and not be overwhelmed by work on the busy days.
Now I really should go check on that laundry. Stay out of trouble, kids. I’ll check back with you later
