Earlier today I was part of a small group of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus who, along with two of our Ladies, joined the parishioners of San Antonio’s Italian Catholic Parish in their Columbus Day Parade.

Yes indeed, there actually is such a thing, which is different than the National Chess Day that we in the United States celebrate in October.
Different chess clubs and players will honor this day differently. As for me, I’ll honor it by making moves in those ongoing correspondence chess games in which I’m currently playing. At this moment I belong to three different online chess clubs and have twenty games in progress.
