A dream about the IRS (sort of) that WASN’T a nightmare!

It seems I’ve fallen into a more “normal” sleep pattern than I’m used to. Last night’s was another solid, 7-hour sleep from 21:30 to 04:30. And it brought a detailed, interesting dream that wasn’t nightmarish.

In the dream I helped a young guy file his first federal income tax return. He was very depressed after running the numbers himself and had no idea how he was going to come up with all the money he thought he owed the IRS. Knowing something about his economic situation, I knew something had to be wrong, so I asked if I could check his math. It turned out that he’d made an error in simple subtraction and, rather than owing the feds a lot of money, he was due a refund check of well over a thousand dollars. Needless to say, he was greatly relieved.
