What WAS I thinking?!

Recent snippets from the Random Thoughts file I keep in Drop Box, update during the later parts of my days, and upload to a public folder on Google Drive.

07 Feb. 2013 – Thursday

1.) Considering its shaky start (last night’s short, strange sleep) this has turned out to be a very good day. My only possible regret being that I may have overeaten. The bathroom scales may mock me tomorrow morning.
2.) Meeting with the K of C agent went very well. And I’m now familiar with another good Mexican restaurant.
3.) Bit of excitement in the afternoon watching EMTs “rescue” a woman from down on the Riverwalk below the International Center.
4.) Got a nice letter from A. today.
5.) Ran into my neighbor this afternoon who lost his keys down the elevator shaft yesterday. He was all smiles; he just recovered them using “G.I. ingenuity.” 🙂
6.) Fatigued, and may retire early.

06 Feb. 2013 – Wednesday

1.) Man! Bad luck has been hitting folks around me all afternoon, but at least I’ve avoided it – so far.
2.) Walked over to Lucky’s to pick up fresh milk and found the big cooler where it’s stored completely empty. A clerk explained that the electricity to it had been accidentally turned off, and they’d lost all the milk, the yogurt, the deli sandwiches, the eggs, and everything else kept in there.
3.) Returning to the hotel I waited for the elevator so I could ride up to my floor. When the elevator door opened, my neighbor who uses a wheelchair was standing behind his wheelchair ready to push it out. He had his cell phone and keys in one hand and, as he was maneuvering everything out of the elevator, he dropped his keys… down the elevator shaft.
4.) Think I’ll lay low for the rest of the day and try to keep myself safe.

05 Feb. 2013 – Tuesday

1.) It’s been a good day, even though I spent more money than usual. Largest expenditure was an electric shaver. Tired of cutting my face with the blades.
2.) Went to the movies this afternoon. Saw the new Hansel & Gretel flick and really enjoyed it.
3.) Can’t help but wonder what kind of oddball sleep tonight will bring. A solid 8 or 7 hours would be nice, but that doesn’t happen very often anymore.
