Recent snippets from the Random Thoughts file I keep in Drop Box, update during the later parts of my days, and upload to a public folder on Google Drive.
04 Mar 2013 – Monday
1.) This has been another good, busy day. Didn’t get to everything I’d scheduled, but I did get to all the main things. The rest I can deal with tomorrow.
2.) Spent more money ordering next season’s Symphony tickets than I’ve ever done, but the upgrade will be worth it. Rather than climbing all those stairs as I head to my perch up in the balcony, I’ll be sitting down on the main floor. And I’ll be getting two seats together, on the off chance that I might ever want to bring a guest.
3,) Meeting with the GK at the bank went very well, too. Hopefully we’ll be able to wrap up business over there sometime later this week, maybe even tomorrow.
03 Mar 2013 – Sunday
1.) After another busy Sunday, fatigue is settling in.
2.) Spent much of the late morning through mid-afternoon doing K of C work, and returned home in time to catch the last half of the NASCAR Cup race.
3.) Followed that with a listen to the first three quarters of the Spurs game. Turned it off when it became a rout, Spurs leading by over 30 points. Ha!
02 Mar. 2013 – Saturday
1.) What a full day! J at AW didn’t know anymore than I did about Previews going digital. Said he’d check with the Diamond rep. But I made it clear I’d want both the paper catalog and the digital code when the option became available.
2.) K of C installation ceremony went very well as did the reception afterwards. Met a lot of nice people.
01 Mar. 2013 – Friday
1.) Spurs won big tonight over the Kings. Feel good about that, even though Tony had to leave the game with a sprained ankle.
2.) And R called late. He sounded much calmer than when we spoke earlier. Actually, I’ve spent more time on the phone this week than I have, cumulatively, in any week in years. And I suspect that my K of C responsibilities will make that common for the foreseeable future.
1.) Man! I think R. is really stressing out over the ceremony and reception tomorrow evening! As for me, I’ve done my best to do everything asked of me, and that’s just what I’ll continue to do. If things aren’t picture-perfect tomorrow according to some folks’ opinions, that’s their problem. I think things are going to be just okay. And “just okay” is going to be one heck of a lot better than things’ve been for a good long time.
