What WAS I thinking?!

Recent snippets from the Random Thoughts file I keep in Drop Box, update as time allows during the course of my days, and upload to a public folder in Google Docs.

~21:30
1.) Listening to tonight’s Spurs/Lakers game while planning tomorrow’s work schedule.

~17:45
1.) Home again from the afternoon Mass followed by the business meeting. Man, I’m bushed! But, there’s still a lot of work to do! Where to start, where to start?

~12:45
1.) Home now on a break from spending an enjoyable morning working with the Knights over at the Cathedral, But I’ll be back over there for an afternoon Mass then a business meeting afterwards.
2.) Lord help me! I think the Rector wants me to work on the Cathedral’s website. Oh my!

1.) Finally! A moment of calm during during the midst of another long, busy day. Munching on potato salad, which I really like but which I really shouldn’t eat. I know the bathroom scales will mock me tomorrow morning.
2.) Got some good (I hope) advice from my barber this morning re: how to deal with the lingering effect of that horrible sunburn I got a few weeks ago and from which I still haven’t fully recovered. He’s a young guy but a 4th generation barber, so I some degree of confidence in what he says.

1.) Just home from the concert, and…WOW! This performance of Verdi’s Requiem by the San Antonio Symphony and THREE FULL CHOIRS, yes we had a full orchestra and three full choirs on stage, was the most powerful performance of any kind I’ve ever attended! And Ana Maria Martinez, the Grammy winning mezzo soprano soloist performing tonight, has the most perfect voice I’ve ever heard! Wow! Just, wow!

~16:45
1.) 2/3 through a busy day. The first two parts went well: with household chores, social contact here in the hotel (staff and neighbors), more work on the Ret Comm Field Manual, and prep for the afternoon meeting with the GK; that afternoon meeting was only moderately long, but was certainly 1 1/2 hours well spent, good news at the bank, and ran into more neighbors while picking up my dry cleaning and walking back to the hotel.
2.) Relaxing now and resting up for tonight’s performance at the Majestic which I expect to be powerful.
