After a Friday dinner at the Austin Highway Asian Buffet I am so stuffed! And I’m resting on a bench while Sylvia walks off her meal looking for deals at the Goodwill Store.
And I’m more than a little concerned about the Spurs tonight, playing without Tony Parker. Hope we get home in time to catch the start of the game.
I agree with Jedediah: there is far too little kindness in the world.
I swear, this year is flying by so fast! Guess that happens when we keep busy, right? I’m busier than I’ve been in, heck, decades. And looking at my calendar for the rest of the year, it appears the pace of my activities will only be picking up. Dang!
Because tomorrow morning is going to come awfully early, and the day it opens is going to be very long. Actually, the next several days are going to be long. I don’t see any relief in my schedule, and by relief I mean a chance for normal work days with time to also get some chores around this joint taken care of, until Tuesday of next week at the earliest.
Not that I’m complaining, mind you. I’m just hoping for an early sleep tonight.
The morning at home and in the neighborhood was quietly productive; the afternoon at work went well, meetings and all; and the evening at home started by relaxing with a cigar and cold beer out on the terrace while watching the river.
Days like this I enjoy. 🙂
